Mayor Gillespie proclaims September 17-23 Constitution Week in the City of Prattville and presented the official proclamation to the Daughters of the American Revolution Atagi Chapter.
At 132nd Continental Congress, Atagi Chapter proudly received 2 NSDAR Commemorative Event 1st place awards. The first was for the 250th Anniversary of the Boston Tea Party. The second 1st place was awarded for the display of the 75th Anniversary of the Vietnam War.
Atagi Chapter member has made a beautiful Red, White and Blue quilt. It is a quilt of Valor and the name of the quilt is The Stars and Stripes. It will be presented to a Vietnam Veteran Marine.
May 18th, Atagi Regent and Recording Secretary represent our chapter at the KDS 2023 Graduation Service on Gunter Mountain. Our Regent presented a $500 chapter scholarship each to two deserving graduates. Then Alabama officers and attending regents took place in a ground breaking celebration at the foot of the historic bell tower on campus. They were able to climb the bell tower.

April 22, 2023 - Atagi daughters, friends, a cousin and some HODARs traveled to Monroeville to award a posthumous NSDAR WOMEN IN HISTORY AWARD to Harper Lee, author of To Kill A Mockingbird. We then watched a two act play which began outside the the courthouse and concluded inside. The performance was very well executed and before the play began, our Regent passed out American Flag fans to the sold out patrons.

On Arbor Day, Atagi Chapter of NSDAR planted a new magnolia tree at the Prattaugan Museum! The tree was planted as a service project of the Atagi Chapter and was donated by Ms.Hazel Phillips in honor of all veterans. A commemorative plaque and dedication ceremony was held on Veteran’s Day.

Commemorative 20th Anniversary of 9/11 by displaying "The Fallen Tree" at Fat Boys Bar-B-Que in Prattville during the month of September. All 2,977 names of those who perished that day are honored on the tree. The scroll has the names of 11 who perished and their ties to Alabama.
